Babies’ auditory pathways are mature 6 months after birth. However, children typically face important difficulties perceiving speech in noise. Certain children are even more sensitive to the presence of noise, because of a hearing loss or because of cognitive difficulties.

 

Our aim is to understand the development of speech perception in noise. We thrive to allow every child to interact adequately with their auditory environment.
